DIY Salt Dough Ornaments

Handmade Christmas ornaments make great presents for teachers, friends, and family! It's such a simple way to make your tree really your own.



Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 250° F

  2. Mix 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 cup salt, and 1 cup cold water until the consistency is even.

  3. Sprinkle flour on a flat surface (so the dough does not stick) and lay the dough on top. Sprinkle more flour on top and roll with a rolling pin.

  4. Once the dough is flat and even, cut out your shapes. Doing a little wiggle ensures that your shape will come out easier.

  5. DON'T FORGET TO CUT LITTLE HOLES WITH A STRAW! So you can string them once they're done.

  6. Take your salt dough shapes and place them on an ungreased baking sheet.

  7. Bake for 2 hours.

  8. Let cool for 10 minutes.

  9. Get creative and paint them! (optional)

  10. Run a string through the hole and tie both ends together.

  11. Hang on tree or share your creation!
