DIY Salt Dough Ornaments
Handmade Christmas ornaments make great presents for teachers, friends, and family! It's such a simple way to make your tree really your own.
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 250° F
Mix 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 cup salt, and 1 cup cold water until the consistency is even.
Sprinkle flour on a flat surface (so the dough does not stick) and lay the dough on top. Sprinkle more flour on top and roll with a rolling pin.
Once the dough is flat and even, cut out your shapes. Doing a little wiggle ensures that your shape will come out easier.
DON'T FORGET TO CUT LITTLE HOLES WITH A STRAW! So you can string them once they're done.
Take your salt dough shapes and place them on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 2 hours.
Let cool for 10 minutes.
Get creative and paint them! (optional)
Run a string through the hole and tie both ends together.
Hang on tree or share your creation!
